Glasgow Warriors head coach Sean Lineen has called for a big support from the Glasgow public as he sets his sights on a winning start for the Warriors in their first home game of the new Magners League season.
Speaking ahead of tomorrow’s game against Connacht, which kicks-off at 7:30pm, Lineen said: "We are looking for a big season here at Glasgow, and with tomorrow being our first home game at our new home at Firhill, we are looking for a healthy support in the Jackie Husband stand. The more supporters in the stands, the louder it will be for the boys."
Max Evans returns to the starting line-up in place of Hefin O’Hare who moves to the bench.
On the elder of the Evans brothers, Lineen added: "Max is our best line breaker so far this season because he has such a great step on him.
"This is his first season as a full-time professional so he is learning all the time. We are expecting big things from him."
On the other wing, Colin Shaw retains the number 11 shirt having made the score-sheet last weekend.
Lineen spoke admirably of the young winger: "Colin Shaw took his try really well last weekend, with a great fend-off on Justin Marshall. He is a good local lad who is starting to deliver after a few years of showing promise."
Tickets for the game are priced at £15 for adults and £5 for concessions (under 18s, students & OAPs) and can be purchased by calling the Ticket Hotline on 0844 800 3490 or by logging onto www.glasgowwarriors.org
