Two tries from Rory Kerr weren't enough to give Hawks the win Glasgow Hawks threatened to pull off a shock win at Meggetland but eventually went down 20-18 to runaway leaders Boroughmuir.
A second-half try double by breakaway forward Angus Martyn proved the springboard for Muir to keep their 100% record in Premier One.

Muir's other score came from Matt Cannon, while Elgan O'Donnell kicked the rest of their points.

A stoppage-time touchdown from prop Gordon Reid clinched a dramatic 20-17 triumph for Ayr over plucky Stirling County at Millbrae.

County had led at the break thanks to a 70-metre try by Massey Tuhakaraina and a string of pinpoint strikes from Brian Archibald.

But the equally accurate kicking of Kenny Diffenthal kept the seasiders in the hunt - and then as Stirling looked like hanging on, Reid ploughed over.

Scott Stumbles claimed a try double to spur Watsonians to a 17-27 win at the expense of GHA at Braidholm.

Mike Ker was also in excellent kicking form, landing all three conversions and two penalties - the other touchdown coming from Malo Mailo.

GHA were awarded a penalty try for the collapse of a maul close to the line, while Jim Noonan claimed their other points with a try, two conversions and a penalty.
