SCOTLAND ON SUNDAY REPORTS
A Stirring performance from an injury-hit Edinburgh Accies was enough to consign Glasgow Hawks to their ninth league defeat this term.
A blistering run from home winger Matt Couper had points on the board as early as the fifth minute. Greg Laidlaw converted before adding a penalty minutes later. Visiting centre Stewart Smith gave his side hope when he broke the line to go over on the half hour mark, but Laidlaw punished the Hawks indiscipline, knocking over a penalty moments before half time.
Hawks started the second half with a renewed sense of urgency, Ian Noble slotting a penalty before converting a Mark Davids try to give his side the lead for the first time. But the second try from speed merchant Couper gave the home side the advantage again, and Accies held on for a crucial win
