Although Glenn has now retired from pro rugby, while he was playing at Castres last season, he was photographed after a game by a fan. What is most interesting is that his young son, Sam (who was born during Glenn's time here in Glasgow), is not being allowed to forget his roots - as he is proudly wearing his Scotland shirt!!
With Glenn's genes, there should be every chance we see a second generation Metcalfe representing is country.
We all hope Glenn and his family are enjoying their new life back in New Zealand
note from Ed
Glenn first played his rugby in Scotland with Glasgow Accies in 1996-97 before playing with Hawks in the club's first season 97-98 helping Hawks to a League and Cup double. He then signed a pro contract with Glasgow
