HAWKS 27 STIRLING COUNTY 27

Brian Archibald missed a last-gasp conversion which would have given relegation-haunted Stirling County a dramatic win over Glasgow Hawks at Old Anniesland.

Hawks had looked like clinging on for victory in this Scottish Hydro Electric Premiership Division 1 clash and then came the tense finale which featured an equalising touchdown for Alex Moffat.

Earlier, Mark Hunter, Graham Lindsay and Robbie McGowan had broken through for the visitors, with Archibald slotting a penalty and two conversions.

The Hawks counters were supplied by Ruaridh Jackson, Marc Davids, Mark Sitch and former Scotland paceman Rory Kerr.

Their kicking duties were shared by Jackson, who had a conversion and penalty, and Zimbabwe international Ian Noble, who landed a conversion against his former club.
