Public sale of tickets for France game halted due to demand
No more public sale of tickets for the Scotland v. France Six Nations game on Sunday, February 3, until the start of the year.
The Scottish Rugby Union says that it has experienced massive demand for seats and, hopefully, more tickets will be made available on January 9 to the general public once the debenture holder applications have been processed.
SRU Chief Executive Gordon McKie said: "It's fantastic news and very encouraging to record such a huge demand for tickets before Christmas.
"We believe a big factor in the increased demand is the improving performances and results of the national team.
"We've recently introduced a new streamlined system for handling ticket returns from clubs and debenture holders, which allows unsold tickets to go back on to the market for much faster sale. We anticipate that we will receive a limited number of tickets back from prior rights holders, which will go on sale at 9.00am on Wednesday, January 9."
Those interested should register their details at www.scottishrugby.org and e-mail reminders will be sent out in early January.
