EDINBURGH v GLASGOW - LET BATTLE COMMENCE
Edinburgh Rugby Club would like to welcome Glasgow supporters to Edinburgh on Friday 28 December for the first derby of the season. The first rugby match between Edinburgh and Glasgow took place almost exactly 135 years ago. Now the inter-city challenge has been resurrected as the pride of the east take on the best of the west, at the home of Scottish Rugby on Friday 28 December (kick off 7.30pm) for the 1872 Challenge Cup

There will be a whole host of Xmas and Hogmanay activities to enjoy with a Ceilidh band pre and post match in the President's suite, full choir from Stewarts Melville School pre match, Edinburgh bats will be playing at half time and a dance school from Tranent will also be entertaining the crowd at half time. Also we have face painters on the concourse of the West stand so why not get your face painted with your team's colours!
