Glasgow have made three changes for Friday's trip to Murrayfield to take on Edinburgh.
With Glasgow back on Magners League duty Sean Lineen makes three changes to the team that faced Biarritz in the Heineken Cup. Skipper Alastair Kellock returns in place of Dan Turner, Chris O'Young gets the nod over Sam Pinder and Graeme Morrison comes in for Andy Henderson in the centre.
Sean told The Herald: "Dan Turner did a fantastic job in the two games against Biarritz, particularly over there. He put in 27 tackles, performed well in the lineout and carried the ball really effectively. So it was an extremely close call and by no means automatic.
"However, Al is an important player for us and is developing into a real leader so I back him to do the job.
Chris O'Young will take on Edinburgh's Mike Blair in the battle at scrum-half.
"We've yet to see the best of Chris O'Young and we've really been impressed with what Mike has been doing, but he will know Chris less well than Sam Pinder which is part of the reason we've made the change there," said Sean.
Graeme Morrison comes in for Andy Henderson and Sean thinks the centre has a chance to make a claim for a Test match recall.
"I was looking to give Graeme an opportunity anyway and this is really important for him because we don't have a lot of centres in Scotland. He will probably be up against Nick de Luca as well, so he has to show what he can do."
