Unfortunately this game had to be cancelled as the Melrose bus got
caught up in the M8 closure due to a fatal accident. GHK waited for 2
hours after the 2pm ko and kept in touch with the Melrose bus as both
teams were keen to play. However as the bus was eventually rerouted
back through Livingston it became apparent that it was not possible
to play. We hope to reschedule this traditional fixture at some point.
Our thanks to the large crowd of supporters who patiently waited;
to Dave McNair who was to referee; Olly Jones and Niall Lear who
travelled from England and to Ali Smeaton who eventually arrived 6
hours after leaving Edinburgh.
