Glasgow team to face Saracens

Glasgow Warriors have named their team to play in the biggest game in the club’s history so far against Saracens in the Heineken Cup at Firhill Arena tomorrow night (ko 8.00pm).
Warriors head coach Sean Lineen has made five changes, one of which is positional, to his starting line-up for the game which could see Glasgow’s professional rugby club qualify for the quarter-finals for the first time should they beat the English Premiership giants.

Speaking at the team run today, which was held at the state-of-the-art training facility of Rangers FC, Murray Park, Lineen said: “The boys are all fully behind what we are trying to do tomorrow night. We know what we’ve got to do. The players know how important it is to win the game first and foremost and that’s going to be hard enough.”

On Murray Park itself, Lineen added: “It was fantastic training at Murray Park, the players got a real buzz out of it. It’s always nice to have a roof over your head when the weather’s like this. The boys are looking very sharp and they are very focussed.”

Hefin O’Hare is re-instated in the backs with Thom Evans moving to the right wing as a result.

In the forward pack, Lineen has selected an entirely new front row with Justin Va'a and Moray Low graduating from last week’s bench to link up with Fergus Thomson who was rested for the trip to Viadana.

Tickets are still available for tomorrow night’s game, however supporters are being encouraged to book in advance. Supporters can secure their tickets - priced at £15 for adults and £5 for concessions (including under 18s, students and OAPs) - and collect them from the Ticket Centre on the night.

Supporters can call the Ticket Hotline (open 9am until 6pm, Monday to Friday) on 0844 800 3490 or log onto www.glasgowwarriors.org any time to secure tickets ahead of the big match.

In addition, people who book their tickets in advance will also be in with a chance of winning tickets to one of Scotland’s two home RBS 6 Nations clashes against France and England.

Additional tickets to Scotland’s RBS 6 Nations games could also be won when the Warriors’ match-day announcer, Clyde 1’s Gavin Pearson, takes to the field at half-time.
