The weather was fine, the pitch was firm and for the first twenty minutes it looked like GHK would win at a canter; then the wheels came off .......

Dominating the scrum, line out and territory should have been the foundations for a good win but, having failed to put any points on the board, GHK were caught out at the back of a scrum on half way when the Cumnock scrum half picked up the ball from our No8's feet and broke towards the line. A couple of passes resulted in a score in the corner; Cumnock 5 GHK 0.

Worse was to follow as just on half time Cumnock created another score in the same corner; 10-0.

GHK fought hard in the second half to recover the situation but the only score was a penalty for Cumnock. Full time 13-0.
