Yesterday's weather must have been a real treat for exchange referee Claudio Passacantando from the Federazione Italiana Rugby

Claudio was heard to say that his noticeably frequent arm waving was not in any way to be missconstrued as a national trait but an effort to restore the circulation which had diserted his hands for the last 10 minutes. He was also heard exchanging anglo saxon pleasantries with the SRU asssessor in attendance.........purely in the interests of education and by no means a comment upon his ability.

Well done Claudio. Your language ability and knowledge of the laws of the game was appreciated.
