MAX EVANS BACK IN HARNESS

Win for Glasgow Warriors back-up team

Glasgow Warriors back-up team defeated their Edinburgh counterparts 17-13 at Meggetland tonight.
Glasgow's tries came from Hefin O'Hare and Colin Gregor with Budgie kicking the rest of the points for the Warriors.

Speaking to www.glasgowwarriors.org, Glasgow coach Sean Lineen welcomed Donnie Macfadyen's return to action: "It was good to see Donnie get through a half; he has got a sore calf, but it was good to see him get through.

"There were a lot of youngsters on both teams who showed up well. If I'm focusing on Glasgow, I thought the youngster Peter Horne was outstanding. He is from Bell Baxter and he was outstanding.

"I thought Colin Gregor scored a good try and Max Evans was also good for us; there were several positives that emerged from a beneficial game for Glasgow."

Glasgow scrum half Chris O'Young was forced off the pitch with a dead leg.

Sean indicated that O'Young's injury was far from serious, but revealed he was disappointed for the player.

He said: "It was a shame because he has been busting a gut to get back in. It was disappointing for Chris, but for the 15 minutes he was on there he got stuck in.
