ALLOW EXTRA TRAVEL TIME TO REACH MURRAYFIELD

With a capacity crowd expected at Murrayfield for Scotland's RBS 6 Nations encounter with England this Saturday supporters are being advised to arrive early.

This advice is even more important because works are taking place on one of Scotlands main motorways. The work is taking place on the M9 between junctions eight and ten around Stirling and effects both the north and south bound carriageways. The work means one direction is limited to a single carriage-way and Transport Scotland together with BEAR Scotland Ltd are predicting considerable disruption and delay to motorists on this route. A diversion is also in place for vehicles in excess of 3.2m width.

Road works are also taking place on the M80 north of junction five (Dunipace to Bankhead southbound). Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction.

Scottish Rugby is keen for all supporters who have bought tickets for Scotlands game versus England to be able to fully enjoy their match day experience. The match, on Saturday 8 March, kicks-off at 3:15pm and the Murrayfield gates will open two hours before then. There will be the usual range of facilities on offer at the home of Scottish Rugby for fans arriving ahead of the game. Fans will also be able to watch Irelands Six Nations clash with Wales live on three big screens around the stadium. These screens will be showing the match from Croke Park, kick-off 1:15pm, and will ensure that supporters arriving at Murrayfield early do not miss a minute of Six Nations action. As it was at the France match last month alcohol will be on sale within Murrayfield so fans will also be able to enjoy a drink responsibly.
