After a late switch from Meggetland to Lasswade Glasgow ran out 19-10 victors over their Edinburgh counterparts.
Tries from Hefin O'Hare and Lome Fa'atau gave Glasgow a half-time lead.

The second spell saw almost constant Edinburgh pressure only broken in the last action of the game when the impressive Richie Vernon intercepted and ran the length of the pitch to touch down.

Warriors head coach, Sean Lineen, said: “The boys stuck in well in what were not great conditions.

”Dougie Hall and Michael Collins all came through the game and OP [Opeta Palepoi] had a solid 80 minutes.

“Richie Vernon and Justin Va'a were the two outstanding players though with Colin Gregor controlling the game effectively and Peter Jericevic showing real promise.

“Max Evans also stood out with a big defensive effort and Scott Barrow orchestrated the game well in midfield.”
