Kenya 7s 19, Scotland 7s 7
The Scotland 7s team couldn't match the pace and power of the top seeds in their group, Kenya, in the final pool game of the Hong Kong Sevens today.
The Scots will now face Argentina in the plate quarter-finals at 11:13am (local time) tomorrow.
Kenya scored a converted try in the first half to give them the edge going into the second seven minute period.
From the break, they then cruised further ahead with two tries, one converted, to give them a 19-0 lead.
Edinburghs Ali Warnock then scored for what was to be a consolation try, Mike Adamson adding the conversion.
Speaking from Hong Kong, Scotland 7s coach, Stephen Gemmell, said: "We came here with high expectations, but we just havent performed when it matters.
"We came out in each game and played well for the first four minutes or so then we would turn the ball over. We just werent effective enough.
