Hawks fell 22-16 to Currie at Old Anniesland – but sneaked the single point they needed to ensure top flight survival, irrespective of other results. The visitors opened up a 19-point lead thanks to tries by Mike Fitzgerald, Andy McMahon and Ross Weston, while Jonny Smith landed two conversions and a penalty. Hawks rallied with two tries from No.8 Grant Strang and two penalties from Ruaridh Jackson.
