Argentina 7s 7, Scotland 7s 5
The Scotland 7s team were edged out of the Hong Kong Plate tournament by Argentina this morning. A single conversion was the difference between the two sides.
Both teams went in 0-0 at half-time, but a converted try by Argentina early in the second half saw them take the lead.
However, a late try from Greig Laidlaw brought the Scots back into the game but it wasn't enough to carry them through to the semi-finals.
With the tournament now over, Scotland 7s coach Stephen Gemmell said: "Theres disappointment again. It was an improved performance from yesterday but the confidence was a bit low.
We will have another chance against Argentina in Adelaide so we need to carry out a big debrief and regroup in time for next weeks competition."
