RUN FOR AFRICA
Clydebank High is delighted to announce that through a sponsored run by six of our pupils we have raised the sum of £260
This money will be going towards the Thomas Barnardo Orphanage and associate Jonathan Gloag School in Nairobi, Kenya.
The six runners received a sports "goodie" bag from Samurai Sports.
Samurai Sports sponsor Glasgow Hawks Rugby Club where Scott Inglis PT Pastoral Care coaches. One of his players, Ricky Munday, is going out this summer to work in the orphanage and will ensure the money raised will be used effectively.
We hope that Ricky will be visiting the school shortly to speak about his visit and the other fundraising events he has done such as the Marathon des Sables (126 miles over the Sahara Desert) and climbing Mont Blanc. He is also planning to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, and eventually Mount Everest. All funds raised by the school will be matched by Ricky’s employers - Halifax Bank of Scotland.
The funds from this years fashion show in June will also go towards the orphanage.
