On Tuesday evening an old Academical traditional event was resurrected namely the Bar/Gate 7's. It was a beautiful night for rugby and 25 players of all ages turned up. There were three teams selected and it was in a round robin format. The team captained by Jamie Doig were the eventual winners by beating the Veterans team captained by the effervescent Gordon McKay. All games were well contested and we are grateful to David Walker for refereeing. Hopefully a date will be found in the calendar to repeat this event next year
