You may recall an item you posted on the site a couple of weeks or
so ago re a Glasgow production company looking for "volunteers" to play
macho highlanders in a whisky advert (no speaking, paying £700), age
30ish - 40ish.


I've just had a phone call from a young lady called Maeve from the
production company and they are "desperate" for volunteers (it seems
you're the only one so far, and they don't want Mel Gibson) - to quote
"the actors we normally use are too actorish and models too pretty - we
need "normal" people". She was asking if she could come along to OA to
talk to the guys in case they were too shy to volunteer!! (obviously
hasn't met Stewart Smith). I explained that season was over but would
pass on the request.
