The annual GHK rugby boys and Hockey girls dinner proved to be the usual civilized affair before descending into the inevitable carnage.
A splendid meal provided by the incomparable Alan James was the lull before the storm.


Sally presented the Hockey awards including Name the Miscreant by providing a mortifying true life story to be matched up to the relevant young lady. You know who you are!
Player of the Year was again won by Amy Gibson for her incredible run of International honours. Emma the presented Sally with gifts in recognition of all the work she has done for GHK.




Some special GHK awards were given out including a tour jersey to President Douglas Munro for his work in leading the tour to France. Also
Ali McAra for his work as a coach at GHK over the last 4 years was given a commemorative tankard.


GHK Club Man of the Year was awarded to inspirational GHK captain, Ali Forbes. His work as a player, organiser and consumer of Trawler rum made him a clear winner.


Three teams were in consideration for GHK Team of the Year. Our P7 have won every tournament this year and did well on their trip to Malone. The 1st xv reached the Plate semi final and won their games in France. However the clear winners were the GHK 2nd xv for their efforts this year including one memorable result! Led by Charlie Dunlop, Ken O'Callaghan and Jim Thow they were a credit to the club.


After the dinner the fun continued downstairs with the Bacardi Breezer Boat Race at last won by the boys. Graeme Davidson compered admirably.


Music was provided by Rosco, Cammy and Alto and was enthusiastically received by all.


A special thanks from the Front Row Union who commisioned Craig Gossman to buy matching tops for them unaware that he was to use his debit account at Top shop. The resultant multi coloured fishnet tops were not a pretty sight.
