Scotland under-20 team manager John Jeffrey has announced that three front-five forwards have been ruled out for the remainder of the Junior World Championship in Wales, but have been replaced by Josh Brown, David Morton and National Academy player Gavin Cameron.
Lock Richie Gray broke his jaw against South Africa and underwent an operation on Wednesday; ruling him out for the rest of the tournament.
His replacement is Bristol second rower Brown while props Angus Dixon (concussion) and Joe Stafford (hip) are also out and have been replaced by Bridgewater's Morton and Ellons Cameron.
Jeffrey said: "Josh, David and Gavin have all joined up with the squad today. Hopefully none of the injuries will prove to be long-term problems and we wish Richie, Angus and Joe successful recoveries.
Now apart from Lewis Niven, who took a bang to his shoulder, everybody else should be available for selection for our match against the USA on Saturday."
The guys have put the South Africa match behind them. They have had a good training session today (Thursday) and now we are looking forward to our most important match of the Pool.
