Adamson the Bandit wins Annual Golf outing.

A very successful golf outing took place on Saturday 2nd July, at Shiskine Golf Club, Isle of Arran. In the end only 13 golfers took part after a few late call offs. The boys plus Helen got the 7am ferry over on Saturday morning for our first tee off time at 9.30am (you can imagine how pleased everybody was about missing the second half of the Lions game).

The morning round was a team Stableford to allow people to become familiar with the course before the more serious individual Stableford in the afternoon. The Team that won in the morning were the Hawks classics of Helen, Cammy and Kenny Baillie. They were lucky!!

A spot of lunch was had before embarking upon the second round. This round was a selection of the good, the bad, and the ugly. The good was Michael Adamson who played very well and won the Championship for the first time. The bad was Michael Adamson (Scotland hero, by the way) claiming that he was S**T and claiming a maximum handicap. The ugly also included Michael Adamson when two other competitors put his ball in the hole and told him he had a hole in one. This was a truly heinous crime and a blatant disregard for the traditions of the sport. The unnamed competitors were punished appropriately that night at the prize giving/court session.

The golf finished there was only one thing left to do and that was to head to the Kinloch Hotel for several well earned beers, a few breezers and some shots of Bucky. A good night was had by all, as the locals put up with our stupidity and drunkenness admirably. It was then up to Lord and Lady Maxton's manor for crisps and more beer. Well actually for most of us just sleep.
