Scottish Rugby is delighted to promote this year's summer camps for children aged 5 to under-18 being run by the team of development officers that are now working in clubs and local authorities the length and breadth of Scotland.
A host of camps will take place across the country for the duration of the summer and will offer a range of fun rugby activity for experienced players and those just getting started.
Coaches, who are experienced in teaching children and young adults, will help young players to develop their skills, keep fit and have fun during the summer holidays.
Depending on age and experience the camps and day clinics will offer touch, tag and full contact rugby, as well as rugby related games and activities for players to keep active during the long hot summer days.
Some free camps and day clinics are available, while there is a selection of different camps to suit all abilities and ages in locations across Scotland.
The support of clubs and local authorities has been invaluable in bringing together the vast number of camps that are taking place across the country and their input has been vital to keeping the cost for parents as low as possible thus making rugby available to all.
These camps will offer something for everyone.
Colin Thomson said: "Scottish Rugby has worked hard over the last two years in partnership with clubs and Local Authorities to establish a team of Development Officers to provide rugby opportunities for all in communities throughout Scotland.
"It is good to see that clubs and Local Authorities are now in a position to offer such an extensive rugby summer camp programme as part of these efforts to grow the game."
