Between 1945 and 1951 Kelvinside Accies amalgamated with West of Scotland and played as Kelvinside West
In 1945 West had been evicted from their home of 80 years Hamilton Crescent by the Cricket club and Kelvinside were restricted for playing numbers as they sought to rebuild after World War 2
They played as a combined club out of Balgray West continued to be homeless until Burnbrae was opened in 1960 with a match against Glasgow HSFP .
