HIGHLAND coach Hugh Mackintosh reckons it will be a testing season in National League Division 2.

The Inverness-based team begins its league campaign away at Glasgow Accies tomorrow and Mackintosh feels that Highland could not have been given a tougher opener.

He said: It is a new season and we have a totally new team.

Glasgow Accies have a new coach and have brought in a couple of imported players as well as getting a couple of guys from Glasgow Hawks, so they will be looking to be promoted.

We dont play well in Glasgow and I dont think there will be any easy games this year. Although we will be the underdogs, we will be very positive going into the game.

A lot of teams have strengthened and invested in players it will be a difficult league this year, certainly more difficult than last year.

We certainly will miss Patrick Boyer, Craig Findlater, Craig Little and Angus Milton, who were all starters last season.

Kenny Cameron will also be available due to injury and work commitments.

Gareth High is our new captain and it will be a big ask for him to carry through a young team.
