Welcome to all of the Hawks Junior Rugby supporters at today’s game. Our mascot for today’s game is Archie Campbell; Archie is 9 years old and plays rugby for GHK mini rugby.
Over the summer we ran our first rugby camp at which 60 boys attended. It is hoped that we will be running more of these camps throughout the year.
At each home game we are planning on running a pre–match clinic for children to attend. At these clinics, the children will receive some expert coaching before the game and meet the players after the game.
Glasgow Hawks under 15’s start there league campaign against GHA tomorrow here at Old Anniesland. Kick-off is at 1:30 PM so please come down and support the Hawks stars of the future. Glasgow Hawks under 13’s and 14’s will be training from 12:00 PM so any new players will be made most welcome. In addition, GHK and Glasgow Accies mini sections have both started back training and are always on the lookout for new players.
There will be a Foundation rugby course at Old Anniesland on Sunday the 14th of September from 10:00 – 15:00. Anyone interested in attending this course should contact Grant Talbot.
