Two Hawks greats celebrate their birthday today.

It would be fair to say that they come from different era, but everyone at Hawks would like to wish Hugh Barrow and Max Evans a very Happy Birthday!

Hugh is familiar to everyone at New and Old Anniesland and Balgray as he was the Club Secretary for the first ten years of Hawks. In that time the club won the 2nd Division Championship, won three Scottish Championships and three Scottish Cups.

Max is the new kid on the block and had a phenomenal six months at Hawks before signing for the Warriors. Such was his impact in a Hawks jersey that he even made the starting XV in the Hawks Dream Team which celebrated the Club's 10th Anniversary.

Hugh will probably celebrate by heading to the Burnbrae Hotel tonight for a pint, while Max will probably be slightly more Rock 'n' Roll!

(Below it says that this article was posted by Hugh Barrow, but for the avoidance of doubt, it was another boffin, as Hugh probably isn't too bothered about the masses knowing his birthday.)
