THE SCOTSMAN REPORTS
FALLEN giants Glasgow Hawks suffered yet another dose of misery as they were swept aside by a slick Edinburgh Accies outfit at Old Anniesland. A first-minute try by Craig Gossman should have steadied the Hawks' jitters, but they couldn't cope with the pace, power and poise of the visitors when it mattered most.
Accies grabbed the glory with scores by Mark Price (2), Paul Loudon and Matt Couper. And the kicking exploits of Ruaridh Bonner and Greig Laidlaw ensured there was no way back for the home men. Jonno Wright pounced for the other two Hawks tries.
