Back-up team lose out to Leinster
Glasgow's back-up team lost out 18-17 to Leinster 'A' at Whitecraigs this afternoon.
Glasgow led 10-6 at half-time with a try by Steve Swindall and a conversion and penalty by Ruaridh Jackson.
The Warriors increased their lead early in the second-half with try by Hefin O'Hare and another conversion by Jackson but two quick tries from Leinster gave them the win by a single point.
Coach Sean Lineen said afterwards: "It was good to see the pride these young boys have of playing for Glasgow Warriors. They are busting a gut to get into the first team and are definitely putting pressure on the guys being selected.
"Flanker Roddy Grant played very well; Ed Kalman was outstanding at tighthead; Ruaridh had a strong game and Peter Horne showed up well, but they all contributed."
