The second XV travelled to Glasgow Accies on Saturday desperate to get their season back on track. In poor conditions Marr started well and soon had Accies under the cosh in their twenty-two.
A scoreless first half saw Marr go close to the line on a number of occasions before Accies fought back into the game.
The second half saw Accies ring the changes to bring on a new stand off who showed a great piece of individual skill to run in Accies’ first points of the game.
They continued to press Marr in the second half and five minutes later added a penalty to increase their lead to 10-0.
Marr responded with a Gavin Mason penalty before Accies scored their second try of the afternoon with the stand off once again creating the space for the backs outside him.
Marr refused to buckle and notched a late try of their own through replacement Chris Myers but it was too late to stop Marr losing 17-8.
