Heineken Cup: The Big Kick-Off

BOSS Kenny Murray swears today's clash with Premier new boys Selkirk will not be a stroll for table-toppers Ayr.

Murray's men go into battle at Philliphaugh with their 100 per cent record intact but insists the Borderers will not be no pushovers.

He said: "I faced them when I was in charge of Cartha QP and they were always a handful.

"They are never short in the guts and determination stakes. We will have to be focused or we will be in trouble."

Selkirk manager Dennis Henderson said: "We will be underdogs against an Ayr outfit who have had a tremendous start to their campaign.

"But we are unbeaten on home turf for more than a year so we we will not be overawed by them."

Ayr are also boosted by the return of Warriors stand-by hooker Pat McArthur and old stager Damien Kelly.

Boroughmuir's capital derby with Heriot's at Meggetland is being beamed live on the new BBC Alba channel.

The commentary will be in Gaelic but both sets of players were relieved to earn the after-match interviews will be conducted in English.

Both sides strengthen the back row with Muir adding Ben Fisher, while Heriot's restore Chris Fusaro.

Elsewhere, born-again Glasgow Hawks are aiming for three wins on the trot when they take on inconsistent Melrose at Old Anniesland.

There should be precious away wins for West of Scotland and Watsonians against Stirling County and Edinburgh Accies.

And Currie ought to be too strong for Hawick at Malleny Park.
