Scottish Thistles 36 - 0 Arabian Gulf
The Scottish Thistles topped their pool at the SCC International Rugby Sevens in Singapore today with a win over the Arabian Gulf.
Ashleah McCulloch was again on scoring form with a hat-trick of tries, two of which came in the first half.
Roddy Grant's try added to McCullochs two scores in the first half to give the Scots a 17-0 lead at half time before Grant Anderson crossed the whitewash and Grant sealed the win with his second.
Coach Stephen Gemmell said: "Weve had a good day overall. The players have had a good deal of game-time, however, there are still some lessons to be learned, particularly at the contact point.
We topped our group which we wanted to do and expected to do."
The Thistles will face the Singapore Barbarians, the Singapore national sevens side, on day two (Sunday) at 9:15am local time, 1:15am GMT.
