Ayr grind out win at Old Anniesland

Paul Burke's try clinched the game for Ayr
Ayr ground out a 14-0 win over Glasgow Hawks at Old Anniesland to boost their hopes of sealing a first ever Scottish Hydro Electric Premiership Division One crown.
The action had been largely attritional during the opening sparring session, with Ayr's heftier pack holding sway to set up a try and conversion for Frazier Climo.

Hawks had the better of the second-half exchanges, but they could not make the vital breakthrough.

And Ayr made sure of the victory with a Paul Burke score, goaled by Climo.
