With the Autumn Internationals over for the Scots, it is time to return to Magners League action for the Warriors, with the arrival of the Cardiff Blues on Friday night.
The festive period will not only see the Warriors take on the Blues, but they will also face back-to-back games against Bath in the Heineken Cup before the David Lloyd 1872 Cup derbies against Edinburgh over Christmas and New Year.

Head coach Sean Lineen said: “The next four games in the Magners League will define our season. The guys are upbeat and looking forward to what is always a hard physical challenge against Cardiff on Friday night.”

Now a capped international, Max Evans lines up in the centre, whilst the Warriors also welcome Max’s younger brother, Thom, stand-off Dan Parks and hooker Dougie Hall back from Scotland duty. With Max winning his first cap against Canada last weekend, the Evans are now the 45th set of brothers to be capped by Scotland.

On his return to club duty following his international debut, Max said: “I’ve achieved a huge ambition of mine last week, to play for Scotland, and now I want to fulfil my ambition with Glasgow and really challenge at the top of the Magners League.”

Two Glasgow players involved in other international tours, Bernardo Stortoni with Argentina and Justin Va'a with the Pacific Islanders, also line up in their respective positions at fullback and prop.

Justin, who played the full 80 minutes of Pacific Islanders’ 25-17 win over Italy last Saturday added: “It was a really enjoyable experience being away with the Island boys in such a unique set-up. The win over Italy was definitely the biggest highlight - it was the first Test win for the Pacific Islanders.

“I enjoyed being back amongst the Island culture when everyone is singing and laughing all the time, it’s something you miss when living away from home, but now that all the Glasgow boys are back together we’re focussing on being successful with Glasgow. The next eight games are massive for us.”
