Coaches Corner - Peter Wright

Good afternoon folks and welcome to Old Anniesland for this SHE Premiership Division 1 match versus Boroughmuir and a warm welcome to Eamon John and his troops for what I hope is an enthralling match this afternoon.

Having had a very hard-fought and deserved win against our local rivals West of Scotland on Friday, November 21, we headed down to Selkirk last week to try and carry on the good work, but unfortunately after dominating the both in territory and possession all we could come away with was a losing bonus point.

There is no doubt we have the ability to beat teams but what it comes down to is inconsistent decision-making and making too many unforced errors. We have to have more belief in ourselves and our own personal abilities – we are good players and we have to have that self belief.

Good to see one of my old clubs here at Anniesland today, a club which I have many and great fond memories, but that is all in the past and today I hope we can avenge the result from the first game when we were soundly beaten by Boroughmuir.

I would also like to welcome Eamon today, a good friend and someone I have coached with in the past – if you get a chance, ask Eamon to do his bottle trick, always brought a smile to my face and no its not rude!!!
