GLASGOW ace Graeme Morrison is desperate to floor Edinburgh in the Boxing Day derby - and win back his Scotland place from two Gunners rivals.
The sides clash in the Magners League at Murray field on Friday and Morrison has an added incentive to outshine Ben Cairns and Nick de Luca.
He was forced to miss the autumn rugby Test series with knee damage and watch helplessly as the capital duo hogged the two centre slots.
The midfielder is now determined to impress Frank Hadden and reclaim his place for February's Six Nations opener at home to Wales.
Morrison said: "I just want to get back to where I was before the injury - part of the Scotland line-up.
"I had never suffered ligament problems before but it was the timing that was so annoying - coming so soon before the November Tests.
"At first we didn't think the damage was too bad and I pitched up at Murrayfield ready to travel with the squad to their Spanish training camp.
"But when the Scotland medics took another look at the knee they discovered it was more of a problem."
Warriors should also be boosted by the return of skipper Ally Kellock.
The Test lock was sidelined for Sunday's home Heineken Cup defeat by Bath with a shoulder complaint.
But he said: "Everything is fine now. It was an injury I picked up during a Scotland training session and though it wasn't serious the physios warned I was taking a risk if I played last weekend."
Meanwhile, Morrison's former club Glasgow Hawks tackle form side Currie at Old Anniesland today needing a win to ease their Premiership relegation worries.
Currie have maximum points from their last three games but Hawks coach Peter Wright said: "We beat them this season at their place and our chins are up."
Currie boss Ally Donaldson said: "Hawks are fighting for survival so will be dangerous."
