Hawks hopes of retaining the B.T. Cup ended at Malleny Park this afternoon when they went down to Currie 19-24.
The Hawks 2xv beat Stirling County at Bridgehaugh 29-3 to consolidate their position at the top of the 2nd xv League

IT WAS Malleny Park for shocks as under-strength Currie, focusing primarily on Premiership One survival, dumped high-flying Glasgow Hawks out of the BT Cup 24-19. Hawks, favourites to land a second successive league and cup double, led 7-3 at half-time, but Currie rampaged back in the second half with tries by Neil Sneddon, James Taggart and Douglas Flockhart to cancel out Hawks tries from Steve Gordon and Mike Adamson.
