Scottish Rugby clubs will kick-off the New Year with fourth round Scottish Hydro Electric Cup action.
Big name premier division one sides Edinburgh Accies and Heriot’s face testing trips to Garnock and Falkirk who, since being promoted to the premier leagues last season have settled well in the upper echelons of the club game.
Another tie of note is the derby between Kilmarnock and Ardrossan Academicals. The Ayrshire sides have enjoyed different fortunes in the four years since the pair shared National Division One - Kilmarnock dropping to National Two in 2004/2005 while Ardrossan earned promotion to Premier Three two years later.
