Elvis has left the field

On the day when all eyes are on America do you know that---

Whilst serving The Queen former Hawks president Tom Howie once met "The King".
In Germany serving with the B.A.O.R (for our younger readers the
British Army of the Rhine) Tom met Elvis when his unit was involved in
a joint exercise with U.S forces at Fulda
There is no evidence to suggest that this meeting inspired Elvis to
launch his first post military service album G.I. Blues
