THE management team of the Scotland under-20 squad have been forced into a late reshuffle, just three weeks before their first match in this season's age-grade Six Nations Championship.
Former Scotland and Lions prop Tom Smith has stepped down as forwards coach. The 37-year-old has recently forced his way back into the Northampton Saints match-day squad since taking on the coaching job three months ago, and this has had a knock-on effect on the amount of time he has been able to spend in Scotland for training.

As the Saints will be playing Guinness Premiership matches throughout the Six Nations window, Smith attending under-20 games, which shadow the senior team's matches, was also going to be a problem.

Smith has been replaced by fellow Scotland and Lions front-row veteran Peter Wright, who now coaches Glasgow Hawks.

Meanwhile, Ally Donaldson of Currie will take over from Wright as head coach of the Scotland club international team, with Kevin Barrie of Selkirk taking responsibility for the forwards.
