Same again for Scotland U20
Scotland U20 head coach Eamon John has named an unchanged team for their Six Nations tie against France on Friday in Chalon sur Saone (ko 7.00pm local time).
John has opted to stick to the successful starting line-up following the side’s historic victory over Wales, last year’s runners-up, (18-17) at McDiarmid Park, last Friday, and is delighted that the team remains in tact.
He said: “It helps with continuity – we a have a lot of bruised bodies but they can all travel and play which is great news.
“I don’t expect the French to be more physical than the Welsh but it’s an away game and so is a very different environment. France have the ability to play in a number of different ways but they don’t like to be pressured and that’s exactly what we’ll look to do.
“The Welsh game was a magnificent performance. We have to concentrate on the positives from the game and the great experience of victory. I think it sent out a strong message about this team.
“We have a good balance in the team; we kept the ball well and can play with variety which is what you need to be successful in rugby.”
Scotland U20 play France under-20 in Chalon sur Saone on Friday 13 February (ko 7.00pm local time) before hosting Italy U20 at Dens Park, Dundee, on Friday 27 February – admission to all Scotland U20 home games is free.
