Glasgow name squad for Munster clash
Glasgow Warriors have named a 24-man squad for Friday's Magners League clash with Munster at Firhill (ko 7:45pm).
Six of the eight Warriors that tasted front-line action during Scotland’s RBS 6 Nations campaign return to club duty for the match with the European champions.
Two of Scotland’s most potent attackers, Thom and Max Evans, are straight back into the mix alongside hooker Dougie Hall, prop Moray Low, flanker Kelly Brown and lock Alastair Kellock.
Speaking as the squad convened for training this morning, Warriors head coach Sean Lineen, said: “We’re really looking forward to playing the leading team in Europe on Friday night. They’re a side with enormous pride and it’ll be a massive challenge for us.
“We’re playing against a team and a country full of confidence after Ireland’s Grand Slam win on Saturday and I’m sure Munster will get a few of their international players back for this game.
“We’ll need that great Firhill crowd behind us which I’m sure will be as eager as I am to get back to winning ways at home.”
Utility back Colin Gregor is also named in the 24-man squad following his stewardship of the Scotland 7s squad to the Plate title at the Rugby World Cup Sevens in Dubai.
The Warriors could also see flanker James Eddie return from injury having last appeared for the Warriors during their historic Heineken Cup victory over Toulouse in France.
