GLASGOW have uncovered another young Scottish talent in the English game in centre Peter Murchie as they continue to increase the depth of Scots-qualified performers in the squad.
The 23-year-old won caps with England Under-18s and English Universities, having been developed within Bath's academy system. He was part of Bath's 1st XV squad as a teenager and played in the Middlesex Sevens at 19.

Comfortable in the centre, on the wing and at full-back, Murchie joined the National League One side Waterloo in 2006, going on to make 24 appearances and scoring five tries, before moving to Pertemps Bees, where he scored once in 15 matches last season. He was snapped up last summer by the newly professional London Welsh and has made 18 appearances for the 1st XV, mainly at outside centre, and scored three tries to date.

After being tipped off to his father's Ayr origins, Glasgow coach Sean Lineen brought him north for a trial and Murchie has impressed to the extent that he has been signed up for next season. Along with Rob Dewey, he will increase competition at centre and the outside back positions.
