HAWKS 21 CURRIE 17
Currie V Glasgow Hawks
An early brace by Currie’s Alun Walker plus his own conversion of his first effort put the Edinburgh side ahead in the early minutes.
A burst of pace from Sean Murray out foxed two Currie defenders as Hawks contributed to the scoreboard for the first time. Peter Jericevich successfully added the conversion.
Hawks went in front when Rob Hair broke and found Jericevich who scored and then converted.
Currie restored themselves to the lead when Dougie Fife darted into space and broke clear from halfway. But they didn’t hold on to their advantage for long. Murray ran through for his second of the tie and Jericevich added the extra two points from his boot to send his side through at the expense of Currie.
