It is with deep regret I had to read about Niall Caddell’s Titan[ic] efforts at the weekend with little mention of the famous – Des Lynam Select 7 – whom also played in this year’s Mackays Sevens and won 3 out of 4 pool games and reached the Quarter finals of the Cup competition. Sadly the Lynams were ultimately put out by the Shark Kings after the Lynams improving performances throughout the day relative to increasing consumption.

This year the Lynams included:

Chris ‘Triim’ Breckenridge – O.A not so great
Gillon Rand – O.A Ex great
John ‘Gun’ Shannon – O.A. Current performer
-and of course - Alastair ‘Disco’ Forbes
