Melrose and Aberdeen University will return to Murrayfield to defend their Scottish Hydro Electric Cup and Plate titles on Sunday May 10 (first match kicks off at 10.30am, ticket info below).
Melrose squeezed passed Premiership Two opponents Haddington in a tense enoucounter at The Greenyards (27-20) while their opponents, Heriot’s, saw off Premiership One rivals Edinburgh Accies with a convincing seven try victory (50-8) to set up a rematch of last year's final.
Glasgow Hawks will face Peebles in the Shield final after the Glasgow side saw off Jed Forest in a tricky 30-20 encounter at Old Anniesland. Their Tweedside opponents made the final following a journey across the border to Dumfries where they won 17-7 at Park Farm.
It was a league and cup double success for Edinburgh University who defeated city rivals Murrayfield Wanderers 29-17 at Inverleith Park and will go on to face Aberdeenshire in the final after they saw off a visiting Ross High 15-6 at the Woodside Sports Complex.
The Plate final will see the return of current holders Aberdeen University who made the long trip south to Volunteer Park to come away with a fine 2
