FORMER SRU chairman David Mackay was last night charged with the task of taking Glasgow Hawks back to the top of the Scottish rugby pecking order.
Mackay was revealed as the head of the newly-formed Glasgow Hawks Sports Trust. And he will spearhead the quest to revive the on-field fortunes of the club and develop the sport within the community. Mackay, who will chair the organisation, said: "

The trust has been established to secure the long term future of the club, enhance the development of players, restore the first team to the top flight, develop the youth teams and ensure the growth of the sport."
