With the news that Euan Murray is in the Lions squad to play Western Province at Newlands Stadium Cape Town tomorrow this evokes strong memories of the Hawks Tour of 03
Having beaten both Tygerberg and Villager in the Cape the squad were photograhed at Newlands and completed the unbeaten tour on the high veldt at Wanderers

The rest of the tour details despite the passage of time are of course still subject to the Abbotsinch Agreement clause " what happens on tour stays on tour" Many of the 03 tourists have gone on to greater and better things and have become pillars of society and captains of industry and thus the agreement must hold
